My office is in Westlake Village, CA.
2660 Townsgate Rd., Suite 150
Westlake Village, CA 91361
What are your hours?
I see clients by appointment only. My hours vary, but I typically offer appointments Monday-Thursday between the hours of 9am-7pm.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes in length, unless we determine that a longer session length is necessary.
How much do you charge?
50-minute sessions are $250. Sessions that run longer than 50 minutes are charged pro-rata.
Do you take insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider for most insurance plans. I am happy to provide you with a superbill, which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement (depending on your insurance plan benefits). Please check with your insurance provider to see if this is one of your benefits.
How do I set up an initial appointment?
You may send me a message through my contact form below. Or, you may call/text me at (805) 307-7933.
It is usually helpful to have a free 20-minute phone consultation prior to setting up your first appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
I kindly ask that you provide me with at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Any cancellations within the 24-hour window or no shows will be charged the full session fee.
What can I expect at my first session?
At your first session, the focus is on getting to know you, what brings you to therapy, and what your primary goals are for therapy. I will ask you questions regarding the reason you are seeking help and assess your current symptoms.
I will explore your history (including lifestyle, relationships, major life events, family background), to get an idea of what has led you to where you are today. I will explore what your goals are and what you want to get out of coming to therapy.
What do you do in sessions with clients?
This can vary greatly, depending on the focus of therapy and your goals. Throughout treatment, we will be exploring your past and how this has contributed to what you are experiencing in the present.
We will be focusing on coping skills to manage thoughts and emotions in a more effective way, and we’ll explore relationships and communication skills. If it is appropriate, we will be utilizing EMDR to help work through past experiences contributing to current emotional disturbances.
How often do I need to come to therapy?
This is something that we’ll decide on together, based on your current symptoms and your goals. Typically, clients start out by coming to therapy once per week, then may gradually reduce the frequency of sessions as they make progress. Sometimes, when a client is feeling very stable, we may meet once per month for maintenance.
How long do I have to be in therapy?
You may have specific goals in mind that you’d like to work on, or you may have a broader goal of understanding yourself better and feeling better over time.
The time you spend in therapy will vary depending on your unique situation and goals. Some clients may feel satisfied after 4-8 sessions, while others prefer to continue therapy more long-term. I will provide you with my feedback to decide what you are most comfortable with.
Does coming to therapy mean that I’m crazy?
Absolutely not! Therapy can be for anybody. No matter where we are in life, we can all benefit from having a safe place to explore our thoughts and feelings, and learn better ways to cope with life.
